Dell announced on September 6, 2011 that the company will team up with Baidu for Smartphone business, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. The two companies plan to jointly develop Smartphones operating on Baidu's "Yi" mobile application platform, and the new products are slated to be launched as early as November this year. Baidu announced the release of its Android-based platform Baidu Yi on September 2, 2011.
